About Liz Einsig Wise

In the spring of 2014, I moved to New Orleans, Louisiana after a lifetime in Pennsylvania.  I am happy to be here, but the emotions are complex.  I also yearn for the familiar seasons and rhythms of my long-time home.

I am an unintentional transplant, and I sometimes feel like a pretty fragile one, at that.  This blog will chronicle my adventures at this strange, new latitude.  I’ll probably talk about food and cooking, beauty and art, nature and the seasons, life as the wife of a musician, community, my misadventures in gardening, nonprofits, glimpses of the Kingdom of God, New Orleans, Philadelphia, art deco movie theaters, my aging mother, and beading with my Mardi Gras marching group.

All held together, I hope, by a whisper of faith, hope and love.

I would enjoy hearing from you, especially if something I write makes a connection.  You can also find me on Facebook and Instagram, although I really have not ramped up the online empire.  I have kind of a love/hate relationship with sitting in front of a screen.  Maybe leaning more towards hate.  But we’ll see.

Lots of love!
